Q: How much do you charge for your leads?
A: It depends. We know that’s a frustrating answer, but it really does depend on a number of factors. These include what service you provide to the customer (leads in the legal or medical industry are more expensive than leads in the dog walking industry).
It also depends on where you’re located. “Air Conditioner Repair” in Dallas, TX has a lot more value than “Air Conditioner Repair” in Seattle, WA. To get a sense of what those kind of leads are worth, check out the Google Adwords Keyword Tool. That will give you an idea of what people are paying per click for any given keyword. For the above examples (at the time of this writing), someone in Dallas is willing to pay over $100 per click, while in Seattle the going rate is about $15.
We always price our leads more than fairly. It must be recognized that having someone pick up the phone and call you directly is a much better lead than simply having someone click through to see your website. However, at the end of the day we want to make sure the leads you receive are profitable for you. We are happy to work with you to achieve that end.
Q: What’s the catch? You say that if I’m not happy, I just don’t pay. That sounds fishy… what’s the catch?
A: There is no catch. Really! Here’s how we look at it…
We believe in the quality of our leads and are willing to take the risk of sending them to you first before asking to be paid for them. If for some reason the leads we send you during the week are largely no good, we don’t want you to pay for them. Asking you to pay would be a terrible way to establish a long-term partnership with you!
On the other hand, we are putting our trust in you, too. If we feel a partner is taking advantage of us and ‘claiming’ the leads are no good just to avoid paying for them… well that’s no way to establish a long term partnership either! We know there are plenty of other fish in the sea. Finding a trustworthy business who will appreciate the value of trading $1 for $5 or $10 won’t be a problem for us, so parting ways is OK.
Q: You invoice on a weekly basis – that doesn’t work for us. Can you invoice bi-weekly or monthly?
A: No. Sorry, but for a number of reasons we can not make exceptions to our billing cycle. One reason is that we have set things up to be as efficient as possible so we can offer you the best price possible. Making exceptions kills efficiency.
Secondly, because we take on the risk of sending you the leads first, and then asking for payment, we need to keep our “risk window” relatively small. If someone decides to try to take advantage of our generosity, we won’t risk more than a weeks worth of leads before moving on to another provider who will be happy to work within our guidelines.
Q: I don’t have a PayPal account. Can I pay you by check, credit card or some other method?
A: No. Sorry, but again, for reasons of efficiency we only accept PayPal at this time. Creating a PayPal account is free and takes very little time, and their system is highly secure, so there’s really no reason not to use them. You can visit https://www.paypal.com to learn more.
Q: What happens if I don’t pay my invoice within the 2 day window?
A: Normally we will call to see if there is a problem with sending payment (someone forgot to pay, or you weren’t happy with the leads), to see if we can rectify whatever the problem might be. However, we reserve the right to stop any new leads from coming to you at any time.
Remember, no contracts works both ways. A failure to settle your invoice in a timely manner is grounds for stopping new leads. We always hope to be able to work with you to settle any difficulties though.
Q: Can I refer someone I know to you so you can help their business get leads?
A: We are flattered whenever someone wants to spread the word about us! And while we won’t say “no”, we will tell you that we are very much a “niche” marketing company. We excel at finding leads in certain markets and certain industries. So while we are always happy and open to talking with a potentially new customer, we can’t promise that we’ll be able to help them.
